Our hero beauty products of the week

by Saisha Potts on

Once again we have scoured and searched the shelves of department stores to beauty boutiques, trailing and testing a whole host of products in order to deliver you our hero picks of the week.

We have some treats in store, from lip loving to a fruity mani and the trick to flawless skin – what more could you want ladies?

Most of us have our favourite gloss – that go-to, fail-safe lippy that never lets you down. So to change our habitual lip gloss routine is going to take something pretty spectacular – right? You may not of had Burberry down as your usual go-to destination for makeup and beauty products (other than the odd fragrance here and there), but Burberry’s lip glow has made it onto our hero list.

Our favourite colour is mocha – perfect for striking a balance between a glamorous vampy night time hue and a suitable day time shade. The pigment in the gloss is strong, meaning the colour lasts for hours without re-application. If sticky gloss is a no-go for you, rest assured, this may be your perfect match. The gloss instantly sinks into the lips, leaving them looking plumped and volumised; most importantly leaving them kissable, without a trace of stickiness – perfect!

If you think this lip gloss could be the one for you then you can purchase it here for £18.50.

Natural beauty

Now that summer is on its way our makeup routine can become a balance between popping pastel shades for nights out on the town and a more natural back-to-basics pallet for day time wear. Not many of us truly dare-to-bare though – so if you want a little helping hand whilst still looking effortlessly natural, Burberry sheer shadow should be on your wish list. The packaging instantly won us over, featuring the iconic Burberry pattern. The eye shadow contains silicones that help to leave your lids looking super smooth and even, whilst ensuring flawless application. Just like the Burberry lip gloss, the eye shadow is also made from strong pigments meaning the colour lasts all day without re-application – perfect for the girl on the go.

Want to try this long lasting eye shadow? It’s all yours from here for £22.50

Flawless skin

Let’s be honest ladies, most of us want it to be natural but we so often fake it – I’m talking about flawless skin. The real trick is how good we are at faking it and whether we can convince others that our silky smooth skin is 100% genuine! The lightweight consistency of Burberry luminous compact foundation blends beautifully leaving the skin looking flawless, with a natural glow. The unique formula also acts to reduce shine, leaving a lovely matte finish to your skin.

Top tip: For light coverage apply with a sponge, but if you need extra coverage, dampen the sponge to create a velvety formula.

The fruity mani

Last but not least in our list of hero products for the week are two polishes from Nails Inc – we’ve got to admit we have a slight love affair with Nails Inc polish! The juicy sheer collection creates a delicate and professional looking mani that’s perfect for this spring/summer season. The vibrant hues add a dash of colour that can brighten up any rainy April day. Our favourite part about this collection, the polishes smell of strawberry and orange. If you want a wash of translucent fruity colour simply apply one layer – or for a stronger, vibrant, punchier look, double it up.

These hues are also perfect for flip flop weather – fingers crossed that it will grace us this year! Our favourite colour to brighten up your little tootsies is Chelsea Flower Show (Orange) and to inject a dash of colour to your fingers our go-to shade is always Henley Regatta (pink).

If these juicy sheers tick all the boxes for you, visit the Nails Inc site and purchase the little beauties for £11 each. Why not also follow on Twitter or like on Facebook for all the latest nail-tastic goss!
