Tribeca Tribe

by Saisha Potts on

Ever since we first set eyes on Azealia Banks’ cooler-than-cool 212 video last summer we’ve been totally hooked on her quirky New York style. Add pop priestess Rihanna and new girl Rita Ora to the mix of lovers of NYC’s eclectic cool and you’ve just found yourself a certified trend. Streetwear has had a major resurrection of late (Boy London, anyone?) and it’s one surefire way of making your fashion mark.

And just remember ladies, when we say NYC style, we don’t mean Manhattan’s polished hair, cute layers and sky-high ankle boots - oh no, no, no. This summer, the only NYC chic we’re talking about is Tribeca - think vintage meets sportswear meets prints meets colour meets 90s streetwear and you’re pretty much there.

So, scour your local vintage shop for some Bathing Apes, dig out your Billionnaire Boys Club shirt and tilt that snapback to the side because, ladies, the street is where it’s at.
